Jocelyn Goranson, Mary Druhan, and Todd Goranson founded the faculty woodwind trio of Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2006.  Dr. Ted Hansen wrote a trio for the ensemble entitled Triforia (2007) that resulted in the name Triforia Winds.  This piece was premiered at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music in 2007.  The ensemble has also performed at many venues in the state of Texas, for the University of Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium in 2006, and for the Annual Convention of the International Double Reed Society in 2008.

Although the ensemble was founded as a recruiting tool, it serves as a platform for the performance of many new works for woodwind trio as well as for the established “staples” of the repertoire.
