  Dr. Garry Evans

Dr. Garry Evans is an assistant professor at Texas Woman's University where he serves as director of the TWU Wind Ensemble and clarinetist with the faculty woodwind quintet, the Zephyr Winds.  He also teaches music history, conducting, and applied lessons on clarinet and saxophone.  Dr. Evans serves as E-flat clarinetist with the Dallas Wind Symphony, “America’s Premier Wind Band.”  He appeared as a featured artist at the 2008 ClarinetFest® in Kansas City, Missouri where he performed a new work by award-winning composer Robert Jager.  He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree and the Master of Music degree in clarinet performance from the University of North Texas, as well as the Bachelor of Music degree in education from Tennessee Technological University.
