Dr. Druhan started research into multimedia music while a student of Steven Cohen at Louisiana State University.  This interest led to a final research project on multimedia works from each decade (1960s through 1990s).  Clarinetist and multimedia artist, Gerry Errante was an enormous help in the beginning stages of this research.

After completing a written thesis, catalog, lecture and recital on clarinet multimedia music, materials were eventually adapted for a series of articles published by the International Clarinet Association in their journal, The Clarinet (December 2006 and March 2007).
