Dr. Mary Alice Druhan, Associate Professor of Clarinet, joined the faculty of Texas A&M University – Commerce in 2002. She also regularly serves as an instructor for events with the Dallas Wind Symphony. She has held previous teaching positions at James Madison University and Louisiana State University.
Dr. Druhan is an artist-clinician for Buffet-Crampon USA and an Artist with the World Clarinet Alliance.
Mary has performed for conventions of the International Clarinet Association, the International Double Reed Society, and the World Saxophone Congress as well as for the OU Clarinet Symposium and the Texas Clarinet Colloquium. She has also performed for TMEA, TBA, and the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. Mary has been a member of the Dallas Wind Symphony since 2003 and is a founding member of Triforia Winds. She also performs for the Color of Sound and for the Dallas Festival of Modern Music.
Jocelyn Goranson, Mary Druhan, and Todd Goranson founded the faculty woodwind trio of Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2006. The ensemble has performed for events around the United Statas as well as in Puerto Rico, Thailand, and England.
